Hong Kong is one of the meeting points of the world. A uniquely Chinese city which owing to 100 years of British colonialism makes it probably the most western-orientated of all oriental locations. Take the world famous ferry from Kowloon to Hong Kong island itself and sample food from the street vendors all the way up to 5* Michelin restaurants. Of course, it is not all city, the Peak Gardens are quite literally a breath of fresh air and offer a breathtaking view across the harbour.
